- 1Be Confident and know your stuff. Engineering is a subject not for the faint heart; you need to know what the basics of engineering are and the processes involved. Also you need to know that there is more to engineering than just mechanics.
- 2Get Revising. In order to pass the Engineering Diploma in level 2, you not only need to be relatively good in engineering, you also need skills in Mathematics, English Language and ICT. To be able to achieve your full diploma, you need to achieve functional skills qualification in all of these subjects.
- 3Search Early. In the Diploma to be able to achieve your full certificate you need to complete at least 10 days worth of work experience in an engineering related company, so search for placements early before its too late!
- 4Think in advanced. One of the most important parts of the Engineering Diploma is the final project, you need to think of an idea that you could use in your final project before time runs out, remember you need to be able to not only create/ manufacture your idea but you also need to be able to write a detailed analysis on your idea too.
- 5Be as Creative and descriptive as possible. In order to achieve the best possible grades you need to be creative with your manufacturing and also give a descriptive report too, the more you write the more marks you get (that is if what you write is relevant) also think of new and inventive ways of completing tasks.
